The event is free! Thanks to the Kite Flyers Association and Maryland Kite Club we are able to offer this wonderful event at no cost.
The event is on April 12th. It starts at 10am and goes until 4:30pm.
The event is taking place on the grounds of the Washington Monument at Constitution Avenue & 17th Street, NW.
Public transportation is the best option with the Blue and Orange line going to the Smithsonian stop. For more information check out detailed directions here.
Clubs across the nation and internationally are invited to show off their kites. We will also have members of the Kite Flyers Association there as well as the Maryland Kite Club.
Since this event is outside and open to anyone feel free to bring food, kites, cameras and anything else you would need to enjoy this wonderful event.
We will postpone the event if the weather poses any threat to the public.

Anyone is welcome to participate. Depending on your age you will be put in specific pools. If you did not receive an invitation for the Kite Club Display then you are not eligible for that event. If you have questions about a specific division please contact us individually.
